A Family That Heals Together supports families to establish healthy connections with loved ones in prison to address the cycle of incarceration and recidivism. We believe repairing family relationships begins with establishing the skills and the tools they need to address the past and confront the present pain.
We offer training to helping professionals support families who feel trapped and impacted by the cycle of incarceration.
The high level of stigma attached to incarceration often leave families vulnerable and at times helpless. We work alongside families and individuals to address these emotional harms and create functional and equal relationships.
Our Intensive program Healing Generational Hurts works with individuals in prison and their families who are trying to establish safety in a system that often neglects their emotional well-being. Providing families with a respectful process to end the cycle of crime can lead to stronger communities and open conversations around incarceration for all hurting families. Healing Generational Hurts offers confidential consultations, workshops, educational seminars and one-on one appointments to helping professionals, individuals and community organizations impacted by incarceration.
The Talking Circle Process can be beneficial to families who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Sessions are held with families in a supportive environment to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen the family system.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger following a traumatic event. We can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the grieving process and help you heal.
